Top is a single installation made up of over 200 elements made or collected over 6 years. This archive records Bowler’s experience in waiting for, obtaining and recovering from Top surgery

Disguised as a museum store, the work comments on the lack of trans narratives within archival settings, be that the museum, gallery or within healthcare. It questions if this is the goal for a legitimacy of transness, or if we have more power holding our own narratives outside of colonial powers of the institution.
