• Same, Derby Arboretum (2017)

Same was part of a residency at Arboretum Park, Derby. Made from objects found on surrounding streets, it looked at the liminal space of objects somewhere between being owned and the bin. Left out instead by accident? on purpose for potential use by others? couldn't afford the cost of throwing it away?

Objects were reconstituted into sculptural assemblages, into something pleasing, that had an energy of life, but also something you'd look at and say "same".
